The BOSS GK-5/GK-5B divided pickup system connects compatible steel-stringed electric guitars or electric basses to the BOSS GM-800 Guitar Synthesizer ecosystem. Choose the GK-5 for electric guitar or the GK-5B for electric bass; both use a compact divided pickup, separate control body, 1/4" TRS output, and drill-free mounting hardware.

Designed for players who want to expand a conventional instrument with synthesized and digitally generated sounds, these pickups route the instrument signal through a compatible BKG-15 or BKG-30 TRS cable. The connection can feed a GKC-AD conversion box or connect directly to the GK input on a GM-800, depending on the system configuration.

Both variants share the same compact controller dimensions and pickup dimensions, making them practical additions to instruments where permanent modification is undesirable. The supplied mounting-parts set allows installation without drilling into the guitar or bass. The principal variant difference is instrument type: GK-5 is designed for electric guitar, while GK-5B is designed for electric bass.
