The BOSS SL-2 Slicer Pattern Processing Pedal transforms continuous audio into rhythmic patterns using single and dual Slicer paths, internal effects, and stereo spatial processing. It includes 88 onboard patterns, seven stereo output modes, tap tempo, external control, MIDI synchronization, and USB connectivity for loading alternate patterns through BOSS Tone Studio.

Designed for guitarists, keyboardists, loop performers, DJs, and electronic musicians, the SL-2 creates tremolo-like pulses, percussive sequences, pitch-based movement, and processed rhythmic effects. Attack and Duty controls shape each audio slice, while the Balance control provides a ±12 dB output adjustment. Stereo routing adds ping-pong, automated movement, and three-dimensional spatial effects.

The pedal processes audio at 48 kHz with 24-bit plus Adaptive Focus AD conversion and 32-bit DA conversion. Dual inputs and outputs support mono or stereo systems, while a CTL/EXP jack accepts compatible footswitches or expression pedals. TRS MIDI input supports clock synchronization and CC control, and the USB-B connection enables pattern management through BOSS Tone Studio.
