As the largest target within the ColorChecker Classic range, measuring an impressive 1020 x 1520mm, the MEGA is ideally suited for various photographic scenarios including wide shots of landscapes and cityscapes, extreme distance photography, event photography in venues like concerts, churches, and sports stadiums, as well as aerial photography using drones.
ColorChecker targets excel in creating custom camera profiles (DNG and ICC), rectifying neutral balance and exposure, and establishing a standard for color corrections. By providing a non-subjective comparison point, these targets aid in determining the true color balance of any color rendition system. This enables the comparison, measurement, and analysis of color reproduction differences across various processes, preventing costly errors.
The ColorChecker target comprises 24 scientifically formulated colors, serving as the industry's leading color reference standard for over four decades. Engineered to deliver lifelike color reproduction, it empowers photographers and filmmakers to predict and control color appearance under diverse lighting conditions. Each of the 24 colors on a ColorChecker target accurately represents natural objects such as human skin tone, foliage, and blue sky, reflecting light in a manner identical to its real-world counterpart.
