The Camplex FMC-1001 Fiber Media Converter is the simple solution for converting 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet to 1000Base-SX/LX SFP in order to change existing copper based ethernet equipment over to fiber. Use the FMC-1001 to save on the expense of buying new equipment and extend the distances of your Ethernet signals. It's a simple plug and play system to extend a copper-based gigabit ethernet drop beyond the typical 328-foot limit.

Fiber optic cable is immune to noise and interference making fiber ethernet media converters a great way to prevent data corruption due to electromagnetic interference, or EMI, which is a common problem found in copper-based Ethernet links.

The Camplex FMC-1001 converters 1000Base-T to 1000Base-SX/LX. It houses a single SFP slot and two RJ45 Ethernet ports in a vented, black powder-coated steel cabinet with two LED indicators for power (PWR) and fiber connection (FL). I can be a used as a standalone converter, rackmounted, or chassis-based. Compliant with IEEE802.3z & 802.3ab, CE, FCC, and RoHS standards.
