Description
DOD DRAG Analog Delay Pedal
The DOD DRAG Analog Delay Pedal is a fully analog bucket-brigade device (BBD) delay with approximately 60 to 750 ms of delay time, selectable modulation, self-oscillation, and real-time Friction effects. Its compact top-jack chassis also carries a reversible StagePlate for skid-resistant floor use or hook-and-loop pedalboard mounting.
Designed for guitarists seeking anything from tight slapback to evolving psychedelic repeats, DRAG combines six rotary controls with four modulation waveforms and three modulation intensity ranges. SlideStop, Rubberneck, and Evade Friction modes manipulate delay time and pitch while performing, making this compact BBD delay for pedalboards particularly useful for experimental textures, transitions, and expressive live effects.
The aluminum chassis uses top-mounted 1/4" input and output connections, plus a 3.5 mm control jack for the optional FS3X footswitch. Players can select true hardwire bypass or buffered modes with delay tails. The pedal operates from a regulated 9V center-negative supply and includes the reversible StagePlate and a dedicated Mechanic's Toolkit for mounting and StagePlate maintenance.
Key Features
- Fully Analog BBD Delay: Uses bucket-brigade devices to create analog repeats with an adjustable range of approximately 60 to 750 ms.
- Friction Performance Effects: SlideStop, Rubberneck, and Evade modes provide real-time delay-time and pitch manipulation from the footswitch.
- Four Modulation Waveforms: Choose sine, reverse saw, square, or random modulation shapes for different movement characteristics.
- Three Drift Intensities: Light, medium, and heavy ranges adjust modulation speed and depth for subtle or pronounced movement.
- Self-Oscillation: Higher feedback settings push the analog delay circuit into sustained repeating and oscillating textures.
- Flexible Bypass Modes: Supports true hardwire bypass and buffered operation with delay tails, including a dry-kill tails mode.
- Top-Jack Chassis: Places audio, power, and optional footswitch connections along the top edge to conserve pedalboard space.
- Reversible StagePlate: Provides a skid-pad surface for floor use and a hook-and-loop surface for pedalboard attachment.
