Built on DPA's next-generation CORE+ amplification technology, this supercardioid miniature condenser captures the full character of bowed and plucked strings with pristine, natural, undistorted sound - from the most delicate pianissimo passages to aggressive double stops - while its tight pickup pattern delivers exceptional isolation, off-axis rejection, and superior gain before feedback on crowded stages.
CORE+ technology extends the legendary CORE-by-DPA platform with an even wider dynamic range and a higher clipping point, giving the Loud SPL version headroom for peaks up to 145 dB SPL without audible distortion. The new MicroLock connector locks the low-profile 1.6 mm cable securely to the belt-clip XLR adapter, and the mic remains fully backward compatible with all previous DPA instrument clips and MicroDot accessories. IP58 certification means the capsule shrugs off dust, sweat, and humidity night after night on tour.
The redesigned violin clip mounts in seconds with one hand and grips the instrument gently, holding firmly without marking the finish. Combined with the locking 140 mm gooseneck and onboard shock suspension, it keeps the capsule precisely positioned over the strings while suppressing handling and body noise.
