Wheelock offers a comprehensive range of UL dual-listed strobe models that meet both UL1638 and UL1971 requirements. These weatherproof devices are perfect for outdoor applications, including horn strobes, speaker strobes, and strobes, and comply with UL 1638 and UL 1971 standards.
With a broad temperature range of -40 Degrees F to 150 Degrees F (-40 Degrees C to 66 Degrees C), Wheelock's weatherproof appliances are designed to withstand rain, humidity, and corrosion, while also providing various strobe intensity options. These appliances can cover a large area, with up to 185 candelas for wall mounting and 177 candelas for ceiling mounting per NFPA 72 strobe spacing tables.
To enable weatherproof mounting, Eaton offers the widest selection of mounting options for surface or unique semi-flush installation. Models are available for surface mounting to Wheelock weatherproof backboxes on walls or ceilings. Customers can mount weatherproof appliances to a recessed electrical box without the need for an external weatherproof backbox with WPA and WFPA kits for semi-flush installation.
All models can be synchronized using Wheelock DSM sync modules, power supplies, or other manufacturer's panels incorporating the Wheelock patented sync protocol. Using the Wheelock patented sync protocol, the horn output of horn strobes can be independently controlled on 2-wire circuits. MTWP horn strobe models are 4-wire appliances; the strobes can be synchronized while the audible can be connected to a coded fire alarm system. MT horns may be synchronized, using the temporal Code 3 horn setting.
