The Facilis XP Expansion Storage Chassis expands an existing Facilis HUB shared storage system without requiring a separate storage server. Current configurations include XP16 and XP24 hard-drive models plus XP24F and XP48F solid-state models, using multi-port 12Gbps SAS connectivity to add scalable production storage for collaborative media workflows.

Designed for post-production facilities, broadcasters, studios, and other teams with growing media libraries, the XP family adds capacity while remaining integrated with the existing HUB environment. HDD configurations provide higher-capacity expansion for large project libraries and archives, while flash configurations support workflows where increased storage performance is a priority.

Current manufacturer documentation specifies 16 or 24 HDDs and 24 or 48 SSDs, with capacities ranging from 24TB through 720TB depending on model. Aggregate benchmarks range from 2GB/sec to 10GB/sec. Each expansion chassis is supplied as a turnkey package with installed drives, a 12G SAS card, and required cables for connection to a compatible Facilis storage system.
