The Gefen GF-EDD-UC 8K USB-C EDID Detective captures and stores display EDID data to keep USB-C video sources communicating reliably with connected displays. It supports USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode video up to 8K at 30 Hz and 4K at 60 Hz with 32.4 Gbps HBR3 bandwidth.
Use this USB-C EDID Detective for conference rooms, classrooms, hybrid workspaces, control rooms, and AV racks where displays are powered off, switched, or shared between devices. It helps prevent blank screens, resolution resets, and desktop rearrangement in USB-C video EDID management workflows.
The GF-EDD-UC includes five factory-loaded EDID banks, three user-programmable EDID slots, and DIP switch selection for flexible system setup. Auxiliary channel re-clocking, persistent Hot Plug Detection, HDCP 2.3 pass-through, and USB 2.0 data pass-through support dependable professional AV integration.
