Godox 260T Air-Cushioned Aluminum Light Stand (8.5')

The Godox 260T is a three-section aluminum light stand with air-cushioned risers, reaching 8.5' (260 cm) and coming down to 99 cm. The air cushioning is the point of this model: if a lock is released before the fixture is supported, each section descends on a column of trapped air rather than slamming down, which protects the stand, the fixture and the fingers underneath it. That makes it a sensible choice for shared studios, teaching spaces, rental stock and anywhere assistants are striking lights in a hurry.

Thick 31.5 mm and 25.7 mm tubing and a wide braced leg spread give the 260T real stability for its weight, and it is rated to carry roughly 11 lb (5 kg) - enough for a compact studio strobe such as an AD400Pro, a COB LED head, or a medium softbox and speedring. The riser is topped with a fixed 5/8" (16 mm) studio stud that accepts standard umbrella swivels, receivers and tilt brackets.

At 4.4 lb (2 kg) and a folded length of about 39" (100 cm), it is easy to carry a pair to a location shoot while still stepping up from the very light travel stands.
