Godox 420LB 13.8 ft Light Boom Stand with Weight Bag

The Godox 420LB is a combination boom and light stand that converts between the two roles without swapping hardware. Used as a straight stand it reaches 4.2 m (13.8 ft); pivot the upper column into the boom knuckle and it becomes a telescoping boom arm that extends to 1.85 m, letting you fly a softbox, strip box or reflector directly over a subject while keeping the legs and the operator out of frame.

Overhead placement is the setup that separates polished portrait and product lighting from flat, frontal snapshots, and a proper boom is the only practical way to achieve it. The 420LB's knuckle uses a long handle so the boom angle can be adjusted under load with one hand, and a removable double-sided spigot with both 3/8 in and 1/4 in threads means it mates with softbox speed rings, grip heads and camera-thread accessories alike.

A weight bag is supplied and is essential rather than optional: filled with sand or shot, it hangs from the tail of the boom to counterbalance the fixture, or sits over the leg spread to anchor the stand when the arm is extended. The stand carries up to 5 kg (11 lb) overall and roughly 0.9 kg (2 lb) at full boom extension, and folds to 1.25 m for transport. Aluminum construction keeps the total weight to about 4.3 kg (9.5 lb).
