Each camera has a 152-degree diagonal field of view and runs on an 18-foot outdoor-rated power cable with a weather-resistant 9 W adapter, so there are no batteries to swap and no gaps in coverage.

Person, vehicle, and animal detection runs on the camera and sends alerts through the Google Home app without a subscription, along with up to six hours of event video previews. A Google Home Premium plan adds Familiar Faces, 30 or 60 days of event history, 10 days of continuous 24/7 recording, and Gemini-powered notifications and event descriptions; one month of Google Home Premium is included with the cameras. Night vision with HDR reaches up to 20 feet using two 850 nm infrared LEDs, and full-duplex two-way audio with noise cancellation lets you speak to visitors or deliveries from your phone.

The IP65-rated housing is built for rain, dust, and temperatures from -4 to 104 F. A magnetic wall mount with a wall plate makes it simple to aim and re-aim each camera, and 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi with Bluetooth Low Energy setup gets both units online from the Google Home app. Video is protected with 128-bit AES encryption over TLS/SSL, secure boot, and automatic security updates.
