The JBL Control 412C/T is a compact 3-inch full-range ceiling loudspeaker from the Control 400 Standard Coverage Series, delivering 68 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response and extremely wide 160-degree coverage with combined 70V/100V and low-impedance operation - replacing the legacy Control 12C/T with improved installation features and modern aesthetics.
Ideal for retail stores, offices, restaurants, and hospitality spaces, the Control 412C/T covers background music and paging duties from a discreet, shallow ceiling footprint. Its very wide conical coverage means fewer speakers are needed per zone, while the built-in multi-tap transformer drops straight into 70V or 100V distributed audio lines without extra components.
All Control 400 Series models are engineered with installer-friendly features: terminal covers with top and side cable entry, captive hand-screws for tool-free securing, and a captive dogear mounting system compatible with a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. The full-face magnetic grille is paintable and includes an integrated safety tether, meeting UL 1480A, UL 2043, NFPA 90A, and NFPA 70 requirements for plenum-rated installations.
