The JBL Control 442C/T is a 2.5-inch full-range ceiling loudspeaker from the Control 400 Premium Coverage Series, featuring a very broad 160-degree coverage pattern and a 16-ohm driver paired with a 12W 70V/100V transformer - designed for background music and paging applications in small-zone, architecturally sensitive commercial spaces where a minimal ceiling presence is essential.

As the compact entry point of the Premium Coverage Series, the Control 442C/T excels in tight commercial spaces such as corridors, restrooms, fitting rooms, and supplemental fill zones where ceiling visibility must be minimized. Its 130 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range makes it ideal for speech intelligibility and background music in voice-priority A/V systems.

Like all Control 400 Premium Coverage Series models, the speaker features JBL's redesigned terminal covers with top and side cable entry, captive hand-screw securing, and a reliable dogear design for a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. The full-face magnetic grille is paintable and includes an integrated safety tether. Safety ratings include UL 1480A, UL 2043, NFPA 90A, and NFPA 70 for plenum-rated environments.
