The JBL Professional Control 26CT is a premium 6.5-inch in-ceiling loudspeaker engineered for distributed sound systems in retail spaces, restaurants, offices, hotels, and other commercial installations. Sold here as a pair, these speakers feature JBL's signature sonic accuracy with an extra-wide 110-degree conical coverage pattern that delivers consistent, intelligible audio across large areas with fewer ceiling penetrations. The 70V/100V multi-tap transformer with 8-ohm bypass makes the Control 26CT equally at home in constant-voltage distributed systems and low-impedance installations.
Each speaker pairs a 6.5-inch polypropylene-coated woofer with a 3/4-inch titanium-coated tweeter mounted on JBL's Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal waveguide, producing smooth frequency response and true full-bandwidth performance that outclasses typical commercial ceiling speakers. The included metal back-can provides consistent bass loading, dust protection, and simplified plenum-rated installation, while the front-accessible transformer tap selector lets integrators dial in power levels after the speakers are installed.
