Description
JBL SRX918SF 18-Inch Powered Flyable Subwoofer
The JBL SRX918SF 18-inch powered flyable subwoofer is a professional active bass system built for suspended or ground-stacked SRX900 deployments. Its Differential Drive woofer, 1,100-watt Class-D amplifier, onboard DSP, and 134 dB peak output deliver controlled low-frequency reinforcement down to 35 Hz for touring and installed sound.
This powered flyable subwoofer for touring supports rental companies, production teams, DJs, houses of worship, theaters, and permanent venues. A large bass-reflex port improves airflow and reduces audible turbulence at high output levels. Omnidirectional and cardioid presets give system engineers flexible pattern control, while 60 Hz and 80 Hz operating modes simplify integration with SRX900 full-range loudspeakers.
The cabinet shares its width and suspension hardware with the SRX910LA, enabling compatible flown and ground-stacked mixed arrays. HARMAN HControl networking, dual etherCON ports, and JBL Performance software provide system configuration through Windows, macOS, and iPadOS. Reinforced birch-plywood construction, three-point rigging hardware, an M20 pole socket, and conditional IP54 protection support demanding professional deployments.
Key Features
- 18-Inch Differential Drive Woofer: Dual 3-inch voice coils improve heat dissipation, reduce power compression, and support wide dynamic range.
- High-Output Bass Performance: Delivers frequencies down to 35 Hz and produces up to 134 dB peak SPL.
- Integrated Class-D Amplification: Supplies 1,100 watts continuously and 2,500 watts peak without an external amplifier rack.
- Configurable Coverage: Omnidirectional and cardioid presets provide flexible low-frequency pattern control for different venues.
- Advanced Onboard DSP: Includes 24 adjustable filters, 2,000 ms of delay, FIR processing, and system-optimization tools.
- Networked System Management: Dual etherCON ports support HControl networking and JBL Performance software operation.
- Flexible Deployment: An integrated three-point rigging system supports standalone flown arrays and mixed configurations with compatible loudspeakers.
- Durable Touring Construction: Reinforced exterior-grade birch plywood, a steel grille, recessed handles, and a DuraFlex finish withstand professional use.
