JK Audio CELLTAP4C CellTap 4C Passive TRRS Cell Phone Interview Recording Tap

Capture both sides of a cell phone interview without apps or power. The JK Audio CellTap 4C connects between your ear-bud headset and a smartphone, tablet, or notebook with a 3.5 mm 4-conductor TRRS headset jack, and sends a stereo output to a mic-level input on your recorder or mixer.

The transformer-coupled output puts the local mic on the left channel and the caller on the right. Local audio is a full-bandwidth connection, so your voice sounds noticeably better than the caller, limited only by the headset mic. An internal switch supports both common TRRS wiring schemes (sleeve ground or sleeve mic).

CellTap 4C is passive, needing no AC or battery power, and will not interfere with headset button controls on most devices. A wired headset must be connected for the phone to recognize the interface, and HD Voice compatibility preserves 7 kHz wide-band speech on supported calls.
