JK Audio PUR Pureformer Stereo RCA Isolation Transformer Hum Eliminator

Hum, buzz, and signal breakup from a computer sound card usually come from a shared ground, and the JK Audio Pureformer is built to break it. This stereo isolation transformer removes ground loops and DC paths between two pieces of audio gear, reducing hum and noise before it reaches your mixer or amplifier.

Computer grounds are often full of noise from disk activity and data transmission, and many audio cards share that ground with the audio signal. Inserted between the sound card and your studio equipment, Pureformer completely isolates the two grounds and passes only the audio, using high-quality, low-distortion 600 ohm transformers with a flat 20 Hz - 20 kHz response.

It is fully passive, needing no AC or battery power. Keep in mind that Pureformer cannot remove noise already mixed into the audio signal, so it is best used to treat ground-related problems at their source.
