Klipsch PRO Reference Premiere Series Landscape Subwoofer, Single Unit - 10" Woofer

Klipsch 10-Inch & 12-Inch In-Ground Outdoor Landscape Subwoofers

The Klipsch In-Ground Outdoor Landscape Subwoofer is available in 10-inch and 12-inch configurations for outdoor audio installations. Designed to reproduce low frequencies in landscape speaker systems, these subwoofers extend bass performance beyond what smaller outdoor speakers typically deliver. The 12-inch PRO-12SW-LS model features a dual voice coil design and is listed with a 250W power rating.

Designed for residential and commercial landscape audio applications, these Klipsch subwoofers provide a dedicated low-frequency component for outdoor entertainment systems. Their in-ground installation format makes them suitable for properties where traditional indoor-style subwoofer enclosures are impractical. Applications include patios, landscaped gardens, outdoor entertainment areas, and distributed speaker installations. The choice between 10-inch and 12-inch configurations allows system designers to consider the available installation space and desired bass performance. The larger 12-inch option provides an alternative for installations requiring a greater driver diameter, while the 10-inch variant offers a smaller configuration for landscape audio projects.

Integrating an outdoor subwoofer into a landscape audio system requires careful consideration of amplification, wiring, and speaker placement. The PRO-12SW-LS is identified as a dual voice coil subwoofer, making its electrical configuration an important consideration when selecting compatible amplification. Both size options are intended for outdoor applications and can form part of a dedicated landscape sound installation. Installers should confirm amplifier compatibility, installation clearances, and the electrical specifications of the selected model before completing the system. Selecting the appropriate variant helps establish a balanced outdoor listening experience alongside compatible full-range landscape speakers.

Available Size Variants

10-Inch In-Ground Landscape Subwoofer

The 10-inch configuration provides a smaller driver option for landscape sound installations. It is intended for projects requiring dedicated outdoor bass reproduction while accommodating a smaller subwoofer size. This configuration can be considered for residential gardens, patios, and other outdoor listening areas where a 10-inch subwoofer is preferred.

12-Inch PRO-12SW-LS In-Ground Landscape Subwoofer

The Klipsch PRO-12SW-LS features a 12-inch driver and dual voice coil configuration. The supplied product listing identifies this model with a 250W power rating. It provides a larger-driver alternative for outdoor audio systems requiring dedicated low-frequency reproduction. Appropriate amplifier selection and wiring depend on the subwoofer's electrical specifications.

Outdoor Landscape Audio Applications

Outdoor audio systems present different acoustic challenges from enclosed listening rooms. Open environments provide limited natural boundary reinforcement, making dedicated bass speakers an important consideration for full-range music reproduction. A landscape subwoofer adds a low-frequency component to systems using smaller outdoor loudspeakers.

For residential installations, a dedicated outdoor subwoofer can support music playback around patios, gardens, and entertaining spaces. Commercial applications may include outdoor hospitality areas, landscaped courtyards, and distributed background music systems.

When planning an installation, consider the listening area's layout, intended playback levels, amplifier compatibility, and placement requirements. Proper system design helps achieve consistent low-frequency coverage across the intended listening area.
