The Canon R5C continues the legacy of Canon’s acclaimed R-Series, delivering advanced hybrid photo and video performance in a compact, cinema-ready body. This specialized Canon R5C camera cage is engineered to enhance key functionalities while maintaining full access to all native controls and ports.
Canon and several other manufacturers offer a wide range of RF-mount adapters and drop-in filter systems, but many third-party cages introduce interference—particularly along the left-side rail. This cage avoids the critical filter-access zone entirely and incorporates a practical cable-support solution designed for HDMI Micro and USB-C connections.
As part of the Canon Cinema lineup, the R5C benefits from added professional features such as a dedicated Sensor Plane Marker, enabling precise focus measurements when using manual cinema lenses. The cage is also designed so that the sensor sits at an 85mm height relative to standard 15mm rods when used with compatible Base Rig and Ultimate Rig configurations, ensuring seamless alignment with professional matte boxes and other rod-based accessories.
Built for versatility, durability, and streamlined operation, this Canon R5C cage supports productions of any scale. It is compatible with the broader Kondor Blue accessory ecosystem to further expand mounting, rigging, and workflow options for both photography and cinematography applications.
