The ISO9VOLT model is a comprehensive kit that includes a battery eliminator and a modified battery door. This kit is specifically designed to fit any Lectrosonics UM type belt-pack transmitter with a hinged battery door. By using the ISO9VOLT battery eliminator, users can power their wireless transmitters from external power sources instead of relying on traditional 9 volt batteries. The battery eliminator converts 10 to 18 volt DC to regulated 9 volt DC, providing a stable power supply to the transmitter. The modified battery door allows easy access to the connector for the external power source while still being compatible with regular dry cell batteries. Additionally, the unit is capable of supplying up to 200 mA, making it suitable for use with 250 mW transmitters. It is also equipped with fuse protection and reverse polarity protection for added safety.

One of the standout features of the ISO9VOLT model is its unique design that effectively isolates the power ground from the audio ground in the transmitter. This design is particularly beneficial when using the unit in "bag systems" commonly found in field production. In such systems, the mixer, receivers, and wireless transmitters are often powered by a common battery.
