The Matrox Maevex MGX E1 is a single-channel 4K60 AV-over-IP encoder built for high-quality video distribution over standard IP networks. It encodes one HDMI source at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz using H.265 or H.264, with H.265 supporting 4:4:4 chroma for detailed professional video workflows.

Designed for corporate AV, control rooms, command environments, medical applications, and other networked video systems, the MGX E1 supports IPMX and Matrox IQ Mode alongside RTP/RTSP, SRT, and MPEG2-TS streaming. Two 1000/2500 Base-T network ports provide flexible connectivity, while dual HDMI outputs support local passthrough. Integrated USB connectivity also accommodates interactive remote workflows.

Matrox IQ Mode delivers glass-to-glass latency as low as 32 ms, or two frames, with the MGX E1. The encoder also supports video scaling, HDCP 1.4 and 2.3, AAC-LC audio encoding, IPv4 and IPv6 networking, NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 discovery and routing, and centralized configuration through Matrox Central Manager or its Web UI.
