The Matrox Maevex MGX E2 is a dual-channel 4K60 AV-over-IP encoder for distributing two HDMI sources across professional IP networks. It encodes up to two 4K60 feeds using H.265 or H.264, supports H.265 4:4:4 color, and delivers Matrox IQ Mode glass-to-glass latency as low as one frame.

Built for enterprise AV, control rooms, medical environments, remote workstations, and mission-critical installations, the MGX E2 supports IPMX, Matrox IQ Mode, RTP/RTSP, SRT, and MPEG2-TS streaming. Two 2.5GbE-capable network ports provide deployment flexibility, while dual HDMI outputs enable local passthrough alongside network distribution.

The MGX E2 also adds fixed-format Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture compositing, video scaling, HDCP support, and integrated USB connectivity for interactive workflows. Matrox Central Manager, a browser-based Web UI, and NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 support give integrators several options for configuration, discovery, routing, and device management.
