Description
The Obsidian Control Netron EN12i is a professional 12-universe Ethernet-to-DMX gateway built for permanent installations and touring rigs that demand high-density DMX distribution in a single rack space. Housed in a rugged 19-inch 1U rackmount chassis, the EN12i converts Art-Net and sACN (E1.31) network data to twelve fully independent, RDM-compatible DMX512-A universes. The "i" designates the install-friendly terminal I/O version of the EN12, shipping with interchangeable rear connection plates β two 6-port screw-terminal block plates and two 6-port RJ45 ESTA DMX plates β so integrators can hard-wire DMX runs or patch over structured cabling without adapters.
Setup is fast and flexible: configure locally from the front-panel 1.8-inch OLED display with rotary encoder, or remotely through the built-in web interface with HTTP command support. Factory and user presets deliver plug-and-play deployment, while 99 internal cues with fade and hold times plus cue linking let the EN12i run standalone lighting states without a console β ideal for architectural, house-of-worship, theme park, and broadcast installations. Each port can be independently assigned as input or output with full merge and priority handling across protocols.
Power is equally installation-ready, accepting 100-240V AC or PoE (IEEE 802.3af) with just 9W consumption, so a single network drop can carry both data and power. With RDM E1.20 device management across all twelve ports, the Netron EN12i is a dependable backbone for any networked DMX lighting system.
