OM System DS-2700 Digital Dictation Recorder with ODMS R8 Dictation Module

Small legal offices, real-estate agents, surveyors and clinics that still dictate letters and reports will find the DS-2700 a straightforward step up from tape. Its 4-position slide switch handles record, stop, play and rewind with one thumb, and insert, overwrite and append modes make it easy to correct a dictation without starting over.

Built-in directional stereo microphones switch between a dictation mode for close speech and a conference mode that sets the two capsules at 90 degrees for meetings and interviews. Recordings are saved as DSS Pro for compact, workflow-ready files, or as PCM WAV or MP3, on 2 GB of internal memory plus an SD card slot for up to 32 GB.

A 2.4-inch color screen, up to 32 index marks per file, VCVA voice-activated recording and a rechargeable LI-92B battery rated for up to about 56 hours round out the package. This version includes an ODMS R8 Dictation Module license for managing and sending files to transcription.
