OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4.0-5.6 R Zoom Lens, Silver

Telephoto reach usually means bulk, but this silver zoom covers 80-300mm in 35mm terms while weighing only 190 g. That makes it a natural second lens for anyone who started with a standard kit zoom and now wants to pull in distant wildlife, isolate players on a field or compress a landscape. It also balances nicely on smaller bodies, so long handheld sessions stay comfortable.

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4.0-5.6 R uses 13 elements in 10 groups, including ED and HR elements, to keep images sharp and contrast high through the zoom range. A 7-blade circular aperture softens backgrounds attractively, which also makes the long end a flattering choice for candid portraits. The 30 to 8.2 degree angle of view gives you real flexibility to frame tighter as subjects move away.

MSC high-speed autofocus with an inner-focus screw drive delivers quick, quiet focusing for both stills and video, and the 0.9 m minimum focus distance allows tighter framing of flowers and other nearby subjects. At 83 mm long with a 58mm filter thread, the silver finish complements silver PEN and OM-D bodies.
