Red emission nebulae that look muted on a standard camera come through vividly on the OM-3 ASTRO. Built on the retro-styled OM-3, this dedicated astrophotography body replaces the usual infrared-cut filter with one tuned for 100% H-alpha transmission, so deep-sky targets and Milky Way nightscapes record their true red glow straight out of the camera. Body-only pricing lets astrophotographers pair it with the fast wide-angle M.Zuiko primes and zooms they already own.

A 20.4MP stacked BSI Live MOS sensor and TruePic X processor provide fast readout and low noise, and 5-axis stabilization rated up to 7.5 EV steps with Sync IS supports handheld nightscapes. Starry Sky AF locks focus on stars, preset custom modes and astro color profiles speed up setup, and Handheld High Res Shot can merge frames into a 50MP image when mounted on a tripod or equatorial mount.

Long nights in the field are well served by an IP53-rated, freezeproof magnesium alloy body, Night Vision mode for dark-adapted viewing, Live Composite for star trails and USB-C PD power for running from a power bank. Optional BMF-LPC01 light pollution and BMF-SE01 soft body-mount filters fit inside the body and work with any lens. The BLX-1 battery is rated for approximately 590 shots per CIPA testing.
