A 20.4MP Live MOS sensor and TruePic IX processor are backed by 5-axis in-body stabilization rated up to 7.5 EV steps with Sync IS, so handheld long exposures and telephoto shots stay sharp. The 121-point all cross-type phase-detection AF handles moving subjects, Pro Capture records frames before the shutter is fully pressed, and Starry Sky AF locks onto pinpoint stars at night.

A dedicated CP button calls up computational modes such as Live ND for in-camera long-exposure blur, 50MP Handheld High Res Shot and Focus Stacking. Video shooters get C4K and 4K recording, the OM-Log400 profile and vertical video support for social platforms, with USB-C charging for on-the-go top-ups.
