The On-Stage SMS7650 Hex-Base Studio Boom Mic Stand is a heavy-duty microphone stand for studio, project, and live recording work. It combines a 40" to 82" height range, 43" to 79" telescoping boom, 7" mini boom, and 17 lb hexagonal base with removable casters.
This studio boom mic stand gives engineers, broadcasters, and production crews the reach needed for overhead miking, close miking, and room capture. Use it as a rolling studio boom mic stand, a heavy-duty overhead microphone stand, or a versatile boom stand for recording sessions and live production.
The boom separates into two sections, and each section supports attachment of the 7" mini boom for flexible mic positioning. A counterweight balances mounted microphones, while ergonomic tension knobs and clutches lock height, boom length, and angle adjustments for stable performance.
