The Osprey OG 3G 4E Quad Channel 3G SDI Encoder OpenGear Card delivers professional multi channel encoding for broadcast, contribution, and live streaming workflows. Designed for openGear frames, this compact card encodes up to four 3G SDI inputs to H.264 or H.265 for reliable transport over IP networks and delivery to CDNs. With support for up to 1080p60 resolution, embedded audio, and advanced color options, it provides a powerful yet space efficient solution for modern video infrastructures.
Supporting PAL, NTSC, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p formats, the OG 3G 4E includes built in processing such as scaling, frame rate conversion, and deinterlacing to match diverse source feeds and output requirements. HDR HLG, REC 709, and REC 2020 color handling and up to 10bit 4:2:2 quality preserve image fidelity across production chains. Streaming transports including RTMP, RTMPS, UDP, RTP, RTSP, Zixi, SRT, and WHIP make the encoder suitable for studio, remote, and cloud based workflows.
The card integrates tightly with enterprise environments via dual GigE networking, HTTPS management, JSON REST API, and VPN and firewall controls. It supports embedded timecode, SCTE 104 to SCTE 35 conversion, CEA 708 captions, and SMPTE 2038 metadata for full broadcast compatibility. With NVME and network recording options, quiet fanless operation within the frame, and a wide operating temperature range, the OG 3G 4E is built for reliable 24 or 7 operation.
