Pirastro 1CCS Chromcor Cello String Set, Ball-End, 4/4 Medium

Pirastro Chromcor Cello String Set, Ball End, 4/4 Medium

The Pirastro Chromcor Cello String Set supplies four medium-gauge strings for a 4/4 cello. Each string combines a single-filament steel core with chrome steel winding and a ball-end attachment. The package includes A, D, G, and C, providing a complete replacement for instruments fitted with compatible tailpiece hardware.

For students, teachers, and ensemble musicians choosing full size replacement strings, this configuration keeps the same core and winding materials across all four notes. Players seeking a steel core cello set receive the manufacturer's Medium specification in one package. Article number 339020 identifies the complete configuration, helping buyers match their replacement when preparing for lessons, rehearsals, and performances.

Single-filament construction means each core consists of one steel wire beneath its chrome steel wrapping. Pirastro designates the gauge as Mittel, meaning medium, and assigns a separate article number to each note for individual replacement. Check your cello's size and tailpiece fittings before installation. The manufacturer recommends its Cello rosin for the Chromcor range, providing a specified pairing for regular bow care.
