Pirastro 1OVG1534P Oliv Violin G String 4/4, 15.75 Gauge

Pirastro Oliv Violin G String

The Pirastro Oliv Violin G String combines a sheep gut core with gold-silver winding for a traditional bowed-string construction. This 4/4 version uses a 15.75 gauge and a knot end. It gives violinists a specific replacement option when matching the size, gauge, and attachment of an existing setup.

Choose this full-size violin replacement string when your instrument requires the Oliv G in 15 3/4 gauge. The gold-silver wound gut string suits players who prefer natural gut construction for their lower register. Its individual G configuration lets you replace that position while retaining your other strings and their established setup.

Pirastro manufactures, winds, and polishes its Oliv gut cores by hand. The range offers graduated gauges, so matching the stated gauge helps maintain a consistent replacement specification. This version uses the knot attachment specified for Oliv G strings. Check your tailpiece compatibility before installation, and distinguish string tension from product or shipping weight when reviewing specifications.
