Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Double Bass String Set, 3/4 - Medium

Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Double Bass String Set

The Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Double Bass String Set combines a synthetic multifilament core with chrome steel winding for bowed and plucked playing. Choose Medium for the standard orchestral tension or Light (Weich) for reduced tension, easier playability, a brighter growl, and slightly longer sustain.

Designed for bassists who alternate between arco, or bowing, and pizzicato, or plucking, these strings accommodate orchestral and jazz applications. Their dark tonal character and low-frequency emphasis suit players seeking synthetic core upright bass strings with a rounded voice. When choosing strings for mixed playing styles, the gauge determines both tension and tonal response.

Both options use the same core and winding materials, allowing players to select their preferred feel within one string family. Ball ends provide the tailpiece connection, while green and black tailpiece silk identifies the range. For an orchestral bass string replacement, match the selected gauge and instrument size to your setup before installation.
