Remote Audio BDSv4U Battery Distribution System 6 Coax Outlets with USB

ENG and bag mixers have relied on the Remote Audio BDS to run a whole kit from one rechargeable battery, and the BDSv4U is the USB-equipped version of that system. A TA4M input feeds six outlets and a USB port, all switched from one illuminated toggle.

The outlets are a special switching type that stays inactive until a proper long-shaft plug with a 2.5mm hole is inserted, helping prevent accidental shorts; polarity is center positive. Protection includes reverse polarity and auto-resetting overload handling (3A per outlet, 5A total at 12V), and a bi-color switch turns red when the battery falls below a selectable threshold for lithium-ion, NiMH or lead acid.

The USB port delivers a regulated 5V at up to 2A for phones and handheld recorders, and a 6-pin remote port accepts the RM remote meter so the box can live deep in the bag. All earlier Remote Audio BDS input and output cables remain compatible, and a stainless steel belt clip comes attached.
