Tape and mix outputs on many recorders use a TA3 connector, and the CASDTD carries that stereo feed to a 3.5mm right-angle TRS plug. It is an unbalanced stereo adapter cable for sending a mix to cameras, recorders or other mini-jack inputs.

The right-angle 3.5mm plug keeps the connection low profile at the receiving device, and the braided cable shown on the manufacturer photo stays manageable in a sound bag.
