Balanced output is what sets the Sennheiser EK500 receiver apart, and this cable keeps it balanced all the way to the input. The CASENEK500 is an 18 in balanced adapter from a 3.5mm TRS locking plug to an XLR3 male connector.

The locking plug secures to the EK500 output so it will not work loose on a camera or in a bag, and the XLR3M connects to a camera, mixer or recorder. Use it when the destination input benefits from a balanced feed.
