Some setups need one output on a full-size XLR and the other on a mini TA3. The CAT5FX3MT3F18 handles that split: a TA5F on one end breaks out to one XLR3M and one TA3F.

The balanced wiring and 18 inch length suit short connections in a sound bag, for example sending one channel to a camera XLR input and the other to a TA3 input on a transmitter or recorder.

It saves stacking separate adapters when a TA5 source has to feed two different connector types.
