Remote Audio HIQ98 Hi-Q 98Wh 14.4V Smart Lithium-Ion Battery

Replacing heavy NP-1 packs in an ENG bag is where the full-size Hi-Q 98 shines. At 98 watt-hours, Remote Audio's Hi-Q has 30 percent more capacity than a lithium NP-1 while being smaller and lighter, making it a strong companion to the BDS battery distribution system.

Hi-Q batteries are smart: internal circuitry balances charging and discharging of the cells and communicates with chargers and powered devices, reporting data such as voltage, current and charge cycles to compatible equipment. They use the Inspired Energy standard contact configuration, so they are interchangeable with gear built for that standard, such as the Cantar X3 and Sonosax SX-R4+ recorders.

Pair them with Remote Audio Hi-Q battery cups such as the BDSHQINv2 for the BDS, HIQHIRv2 for 4-pin Hirose recorders, or the SmartCup cables for Sound Devices 833, 888 and Scorpio, and charge them on the HIQCH1 or HIQCH2.
