Remote Audio HN7506ILC-S High Noise Headset Switchable Inline Mic Coiled TA5F

Slating and crew chatter from a loud location go much smoother when the mic lives in the headphone cable rather than on a boom arm. The HN7506ILC-S is a high noise isolation headset based on the Remote Audio HN-7506 (Sony MDR-7506 drivers) fitted with a switchable in-line electret talkback microphone and a coiled cable.

The microphone switches between 12-48V phantom power and 5V bias, so one headset works with phantom powered slate and com inputs as well as bias powered inputs on Zaxcom recorders, the Aaton Cantar X3, smart phones, and wireless transmitters. The coiled cable terminates in a TA5F connector that Remote Audio's headset adapters convert to whatever the mixer needs.

Instead of a boom in front of the mouth, the in-line version places the mic in the cable just below the chin, so it feels like a standard pair of headphones while still putting the capsule close enough for clean slates and talkback. The HN-7506 shell seals off as much as 45dB of outside noise for accurate monitoring in loud locations. Remote Audio notes native functionality with the Sound Devices Scorpio and 833 TA5 headset connector.
