Splitting one 12V cart battery into five protected feeds is the Hot Box v2's job. The latest revision of Remote Audio's popular DC power distribution box and a member of the MEON series, it takes a 4-pin XLR input and distributes it to five 4-pin XLR female outlets.

Each outlet has an auto-resetting 6A breaker, the box handles 24A maximum total, and an illuminated master toggle switches everything on and off. Reverse-polarity protection keeps the switch dark and passes no voltage if the input is miswired, and input voltage should fall in the 6-20V range.

All connectors enter and exit on the same side of the compact enclosure, so it mounts easily inside a cart or bag with Velcro strips. Pair it with the Shunt Box and RM remote meter for remote monitoring and power cycling of the whole system.
