Keeping a 15V-hungry recorder or mixer happy on a fading battery is the everyday job of the Remote Audio Juicer. This DC power converter accepts 9 to 18VDC and outputs a regulated 15VDC, rated at 2A.

It also isolates the input from the output, making it safe for Nagra analog recorders to share a common power source with other devices, and it can break ground loops caused by shared cart power. Placed between a battery and sensitive equipment, it lets you keep working longer as the battery sags below 12V; Remote Audio notes some gear, such as the Cooper 106 and 108 mixers, needs at least 15V for full spec.

The in-line design runs 4-pin XLR male to 4-pin XLR female, about 4 ft overall, so it drops straight into an existing 4-pin XLR power chain on a cart or in a bag.
