Powering a full sound cart from one quiet, self-contained rack unit is exactly what the MEON LiFe Smart was built to do. This next generation of Remote Audio's single-rackspace cart power system combines an internal 13.8V DC power supply rated 250W (18A) with a 12.8V, 20Ah lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery and an integrated 5A LiFePO4 charger, so recorders, wireless receivers, monitors and accessories keep running when AC power drops away.

Updated electronics use solid-state MOSFET switching and dual power path controllers for seamless changeover between AC and battery. A 1.5 in color OLED display on the front panel shows detailed usage and status information, while a multi-function button reports the internal battery voltage and state of charge. Two front-panel USB-A charging ports (up to 3A each, BC1.2 and QC 3.0 support) handle phones and tablets, and the lower port can be configured for wired connection to the optional SMART Remote.

Ten 4-pin XLR outputs with overload and short-circuit protection feed the cart: seven fused at 5A and three fused at 9A, for 18A maximum total on AC. Convective cooling means no fans on a quiet sound stage, and a rear 4-pin XLR-M expansion port connects optional MEON Extra LiFe 20/40 rack modules or LiFe Box 20/30 portable batteries for extended run time.
