Remote Audio RMANK2 Rainman Boom Mic Rain Cover and Hood for Rycote Kit 2

Shorter shotgun and short interference tube mics get their own fit in the Rainman RMANK2, a boom mic rain cover fitted for the Rycote Kit 2 and microphones 4.7 to 6.3 in long. It fits over zeppelin style windscreens and softens the sound rain drops make when they hit the boom mic.

The Rainman is made of a soft, lightweight batting that does not absorb water or mat up when wet; rain drops slow down as they flow through and are channeled out the front, along the outside of the zeppelin style windscreen. The exterior is net material with sturdy stitching, and it is more acoustically transparent than traditional furry windshield covers.

The cover slides on with its open end at the front of the microphone and closes with Velcro, so it goes on and off quickly. A waterproof hood is included, and in heavy rain the Rainman can simply be removed and wrung out now and then before going back to work.
