Learning a wind instrument becomes genuinely approachable with the Roland Aerophone mini AE-01, a lightweight digital horn that uses simple recorder-style fingering and a responsive breath sensor to make real music from the very first session. Six built-in sounds - saxophone, flute, violin, clarinet, trumpet, and synthesizer - come out of an onboard PCM sound engine with reverb, and the free Aerophone mini Plus app for iOS and Android unlocks more than 50 additional tones.

Practice fits anywhere thanks to a built-in 1.5 W speaker, a stereo mini headphone/output jack for silent sessions, and roughly 10 hours of play from four rechargeable AA Ni-MH batteries (USB power also supported via the micro-B port). Bluetooth 4.2 streams backing tracks from a phone via A2DP while sending wireless MIDI over BLE to music apps, and the Aerophone GO Ensemble app even lets up to seven players jam together.

Customizable fingerings with ten storable layouts, octave keys, and a compact 444 mm, 500 g body make the AE-01 a natural fit for students, hobbyists, and traveling musicians. A neck strap, mouthpiece cap, band, and USB power cable are included.
