Built as the flagship of Roland's amplified FANTOM EX generation, the FANTOM 6 EX packs over 7,000 tones and more than 90 drum kits into a 61-key semi-weighted keyboard with channel aftertouch. Multiple sound engines run side by side — ZEN-Core, V-Piano with the German Concert V-Piano Expansion 01 preinstalled, ACB analog modeling, SuperNATURAL piano and electric piano, and Virtual ToneWheel organ — giving producers and performers a genuinely deep synthesis platform in one instrument.
Hands-on workflow centers on a 7-inch 800x480 color touchscreen, 16 RGB sample pads with a 60-minute pad sampler, and a 16-track sequencer with TR-REC step recording and clip-based workflow. Studio-grade Master FX including shimmer and modulation reverbs elevate the EX over the original FANTOM 6, while a built-in 16x3 USB audio interface records 16 stereo channels to your DAW.
Stage and studio connectivity is comprehensive: XLR and 1/4-inch main outputs, sub outputs, MIDI I/O, dual CV/Gate outputs for modular rigs, four foot pedal jacks, and USB computer and memory ports. Model Expansions such as JD-800, JUNO-106, JUPITER-8, JX-8P, SH-101, and n/zyme extend the sound set even further via Roland Cloud.
