With 22-voice polyphony, a multimode filter offering -12, -18, and -24 dB slopes with Drive, and dual assignable LFOs, it covers everything from glassy digital motion to thick analog-style basses and leads.

Sound design stays hands-on thanks to a panel of dedicated controls and the Motional Pad, which morphs multiple parameters at once under a fingertip. A 64-step polyphonic sequencer with real-time, step, and TR-REC modes plus probability and random pattern generation fuels ideas, while 53 multi-effects types and dedicated chorus and reverb/delay sections finish them. The SH-101 Model Expansion comes pre-installed with more classic Roland synths available through Roland Cloud, and USB-C audio/MIDI, MIDI I/O, and optional USB bus power make the 4.4 kg GAIA 2 as practical as it is inspiring.
