The OCTAPAD SPD-30 delivers 670 instruments across 50 professional drum kits, enabling live drummers and producers to command vast sonic libraries from eight velocity-sensitive rubber pads. Equipped with V-Drums sensing technology, the SPD-30 handles complex dynamic playing while 30 multi-effect types, 7 ambience engines, integrated EQ, and limiting shape every drum hit with studio-grade processing.
The 160x160 backlit graphic LCD displays comprehensive kit and effect editing, phrase loop programming, and MIDI mapping. The integrated Phrase Loop engine records 50 phrases across 3 layers at tempos from 40-260 BPM, with 480 TPQN resolution and ~10,000 note storage capacity. 8 Kit Chains of 20 steps each enable rapid kit switching during performances.
Connectivity spans USB MIDI and USB Memory for DAW integration, while dedicated MIDI IN/OUT enables hardware synchronization. Four dual-trigger external inputs accept electronic triggers from acoustic drum kits for seamless hybrid performance.
