The Roland S-1 AIRA Compact 4-Voice Tweak Synthesizer is a portable polyphonic instrument inspired by the classic SH-101. Roland's Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology recreates the response of the original synth while adding four-voice polyphony, waveform manipulation, a 64-step sequencer, onboard effects, and modern USB-C audio and MIDI connectivity.

Designed for electronic musicians, producers, live performers, and mobile creators, the S-1 combines direct oscillator, filter, envelope, and LFO controls with 26 multifunction pads. Square, sawtooth, sub, and noise oscillators provide the foundation for sound design, while OSC Draw and OSC Chop create custom waveforms and more complex harmonic textures. Mono, poly, unison, and chord modes expand performance options.

The S-1 stores 64 patterns and supports motion recording, probability, sub steps, velocity, shuffle, portamento, and Step Loop functions. An eight-type arpeggiator and D-Motion control add performance flexibility, while delay, reverb, and chorus provide onboard processing. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery supports approximately 4.5 hours of operation for portable sequencing, synthesis, and live performance.
