Cutting the last cable in your MIDI setup, the Roland WM-1D is a compact USB dongle that brings wireless MIDI to Windows computers - and unlocks ultra-responsive Fast mode connections with Mac and iOS devices as well. Using both Bluetooth Low Energy and a proprietary 2.4 GHz format, it links wirelessly with WM-1 adapters and Bluetooth MIDI instruments across roughly 10 meters of line-of-sight range.

Latency is where the WM-1D shines: Standard mode runs at 7.5-15 ms and supports up to three connected units, while Fast mode drops response to just 3 ms with two units - tight enough for live performance, sync, and real-time control of notes, effects, and LFOs. At 6 grams and drawing only 6 mA from the USB port, it disappears into your rig while freeing keyboards, synths, and drum machines from MIDI cables entirely.
