Slash-Inspired Alnico II Bridge Humbucker for Electric Guitar
Designed in collaboration with Slash, the APH-2B bridge humbucker captures the iconic riffs, licks, and soaring solos heard on his work with Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, and his solo projects. Based on the original Slash Signature Model humbucker, this pickup uses a carefully chosen magnet wire and Alnico 2 bar magnet to deliver the familiar sustain, crunch, and midrange punch associated with Slash’s legendary Derrig Les Paul-style tone.
Hand-built in Santa Barbara, this bridge-position passive humbucker combines classic construction with modern versatility. A nickel silver bottom plate, maple spacer, paper tape, and wax potting are paired with Short Ear (SE) mounting legs and a 4-conductor cable, making it suitable for a wide range of guitar routings and advanced wiring options like coil-splitting, series/parallel, and phase switching. It’s the same style of APH-2 humbucker that Slash’s own tech installs straight from production stock.
